Our daughter, Mackey Elizabeth, was born the morning of April 10, 2009. Mackey is named for our maternal grandmothers. My grandmother, Anne Catherine Mackey, and Ashley's grandmother, Bernice Elizabeth Barner. Both women of great strength, intelligence, and spirit whose influence was passed down through our mothers. We can't think of a greater way to honor these great women.
