Ocean City Boardwalk

We had a great visit to OC this weekend. A short trip, but one that allowed Mackey to get her time on the beach, playing in the sand, and jumping in the OCEAN. Cashel didn't much care for the cold water, so he was content to play with the sand pail and shovel. The boardwalk was more his pace, and he really had fun walking. Mackey was pretty good about holding his hand. Both kids were super travelers. Cashel took a big nap in the car on the way, and Mackey was good about playing quietly...most of the time. They didn't fuss, and they were good in the restaurants. Mackey loves bacon for breakfast (a new thing for her) and Cashel had a grilled cheese for the first time. They slept well at naptime, but were late to bed and early to rise. The first morning I awoke to Mackey, two inches from my face, doing her shout-whisper: "mommy, it's morning time! Time to go to da beach!"

Very nice to know the beach is only a three hour drive away. We will be back, though we will probably avoid the crowds and beach bum culture if high season.
