Babywearing

Part of the attachment parenting includes babywearing, which basically means keeping the baby close by means of a sling or wrap. This means the baby is part of everything you do, from fold laundry, grocery shop, and even shower (if you get the right sling).

Mackey is hot and cold when it comes to babywearing. She loves to be held, particularly over the left shoulder, so sometimes being worn in a wrap can send her straight to sleep. But she also likes her alone time (in her swing, chair, or even the floor), so the close contact can constrict her past her comfort zone.

Here's a shot of a moment when she was content in the wrap, thanks to a new method of tying it. When she gets older, she'll be able to either face out or even sit at my hip.
